Help with V5 Log book

I sold my car to a scrap yeard. Anybody know whichs ections I am supposed to fill out before I send it away?

    You need to give them the logbook generally, unless they've taken the new keeper bit.

    Mark the vehicle as scrapped, but do not tick so say you've broken the vehicle up. You should have been given a disposal certificate, or should be getting one in the post soon, otherwise the car is your problem.

    If the car has been scrapped, then yeah, just section 9.

    When I took a Mondeo to the scrape yard a few months back I was given a Notice of Destruction, this was sent back to the DVLA along with the V5 Log book which I clearly wrote on 'VOID' on each page in case it got lost in the post.

    I received my notice from DVLA advising I was no longer the registered keeper 3 weeks after - also keep the other part you are given, if you are, for 2 years, if they don't give you a second copy get one photocopied to cover yourself should they contact you within 2 years about the car.
