Have you ever priced up Caribbean holidays before?

TBH, I think you perhaps have unrealistic expectations as to what holidays in this area usually cost. Cuba, Dominican Republic and Margharita aside, if you can get 2 weeks AI on one of the other islands for around £1150pp then I think you should book it, and quickly!

I agree! With the bits mentioned above it should be even less than £1150 aswell - I think that is a great deal personally assuming its a reasonable resort

Don't discount Mexico though. We went and some good deals at some of the Riviera Maya Ai's

To be honest if you are at an AI and stay mainly on site (you may not of course) I would go to one of the cheaper destinatuion as they are all white sand and blue sea, and the resort itself is the main issue ie good food /drink etc

Cheapest I have found is £520 with virgin hoping to get something sub 500 if not closer towards £400

I agree that you are likely to get much more 'bang for your bucks' in either Mexico or DR. The other islands are more exclusive and therefore you will pay more for the privilege; for the cost of AI that the OP has found, which is likely to be in 3* more rustic accomodation you could likely get 5* luxury elsewhere. Horses for courses, of course

Click on your own name and find all posts by yourself, you will then find threads that you have posted on very easily that people have already kindly answered for you (some more helpfully than others I would add!).

Virgin Holidays sometimes have a sale on end of August. We got 2weeks AI in Antigua for £998 in November last year. Booked it around this time.
Jolly Beach Resort & Spa - would reccomend it.

Bestatholidays is another good website for holidays, they sometimes have good deals but prices are on a 'from' basis so call them and get a quote....
