Hi everyone,
Any advice here will be very much appreciated, as we are from Australia and don't know much about accomodation ect.
My husband and I have decided instead of spending so much money on toys (that will be kicked under the bed the day after christmas) we would like to spend our money to take the kids away for a week to Scotland (you never know we might get a white Christmas hehe).
We are not fussed about dates as long as its after the 23rd december and before the end of January, but preferably during the christmas / new year period.
We have 4 kids and would prefer somewhere self catering so we can all go in together rather than a hotel where we would have to have seperate rooms.
If anyone has any ideas or suggestions I would be very grateful

thanks for your tips,
Unfortunatley Liz19, when I mentioned staying at a loch ness lodge to my 6 year old son he nearly had a fit! He doesnt want to stay there because we might get eaten by the Loch ness monster hehe. The cabins look gorgeous though.
Thanks Liz19 and saveapenny for your replies, Lisa xx0 -
Try Mackays: http://www.mackays-self-catering.co.uk
They have properties to rent all over Scotland at varying prices. HTH.:rotfl:0 -
try the https://www.visitscotland.com website - you can also phone them and they are very helpful with finding accomodation - they can take bookings over the phone.HLK

thanks guys for all your help.
I have found a brilliant website with some gorgeous cottages, and they're quite cheap too.
For anyone else who is interested in cottages in Scotland go to
https://www.unique-cottages.co.uk
we have got a lovely cottage for the first week in January for 300 pounds. A bargain considering some of the places I looked at wanted that much per night hehe0
