Lying like that is what would really get me! I'm not sure what will happen with mine but I hope they don't try that kind of lie with me as I will be forced to enter a round of complaints that I can't be at all bothered with. If there is some kind of mistake, they should either admit it and cancel telling the truth or honour it. None of this telling lies about it business!

    They maybe telling the truth.

If the website took a pre-auth. for the discount price of £10, then before the item entered the dispatch phase the staff 'fixed' it so the charge taken from the customer was the full price.
The subsequent charge made to the customer when the item entered the dispatch phase would exceed the pre-authorized amount and consequently cause the bank to refuse the payment.

It's showing as 'Out of stock' but still shows the price of £10.

I had an additional £2 taken out as well. Strange. This could maybe returned later though as it could have been just the pre authorised payment thing to check the card details are correct

  • I got a call from my bank just before 5pm to say there had been "suspicious" activity on my account! Talk about making me feel ill
It appears Tesco takes £2 from your acct. first to make sure you've given them real bank details THEN processes your order...apparently this £2 is refunded that same day (well, my bank does it that way!)

My bank told me they didn't refuse any payments today as I've more than sufficient balance to cover £20 but what they found suspicious was this £2 coming out then no order to follow it. So, it wasn't the bank refusing to pay but Tesco never processing the charge.

More than likely, as mentioned above, because I ordered 2 phones. I've never ordered from them before and didn't realise 2 constitutes "Bulk Buying" :o

Oh well, I'll know for next time.

I hope some of you at least get one of these bargain phones :T:T

And most of all I will not grow up! :p
