Only 24 more hours for he who kicks me in the ribs lots to show his face, otherwise it's forced eviction in the form of induction. EEEEEK! Are they going to feed me in hospital if they insist I stay over night??

Have just finished off my uber-hot curry, and am now going to stomp down the shop for some supplies to trash the kitchen with er... I mean create a culinary masterpiece!!

Yeah they must feed you surely?

A lunchtime curry, how decadent :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Hi ladies,

I'm trying to lurk but it's a bit tricky at the moment :p. Good luck to all the overdue/coming up due ladies. Speaking as 'Mrs You're Not Inducing Me, Oh Okay Then since I'm Now 25 Days Over' I have no sympathy for those of you who are a mere week or two over :rotfl:;) Just kidding, it sucks

Things I would have found useful: super easy meals, already planned out and with all the ingredients. For example day 1: fish and chips, day 2 pasta with pesto etc etc. Also an online shop arranged for when the baby will be about 2-3 weeks old cos this is when you're knackered and people have stopped visiting.

Someone mentioned food in the hospital - don't count on it. I'm veggie and on the first night they gave me a cheese sandwich for my tea cos that's all they had

Sorry, Gherkin had woken up but I will try to keep lurking

Lots of love to all :A

Glad your BP was down Teenie :)

Castor oil I think is quite dangerous, it can encourage the baby to empty it's bowels too... Not really what you want before birth...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

Midwife said iron levels were excellent (said they are 121 ? doesn't mean anything to me!)
Above 120 is considered normal for non pregnancy.
Above 110 is considered normal for pregnancy.

(Sometimes this would be 12.0 and 11.0 depending on the units used.)

IIRC Your blood plasma increases in volume sooner than your red blood cells do so your iron level is likely to be at its lowest some time in the second trimester.

  • Hi Ladies,

Just wanted to post to let you all know that the funeral was lovely, it went really well, DH's wicker coffin was gorgeous the florist did a fantastic job, it was very hard seeing the hurst outside my home, and I got in the car not feeling I was ready to say goodbye, I also had to walk in behind the coffin, and there was nearly 400 people there I'm told the head count was. The service was lovely, our friend did a great job.

The congregation sorted all the food out and the village hall after and there was enough for all, considering I estimated 200, there was food left over!!!

It was a crazy day as I stood and greeted all the guests at the crem, it just seemed like the line of people would never stop and I never got to see or thank many more.

The attendance just confirmed what many of us all knew about my dh, and that was he was a well loved and liked person, he touched so many peoples lifes over the years.

Its very weird today as I feel positive in a strange way, I dont know if thats because now the funeral is over I have closed that part of this very bad dream.

Anyway I have to go get my ds now.

    TF x

Just had a peek at me 28 week bloods and they were 12.4, and MW was pleased with that :D

    Twoflower,

Glad it went as well as it could. It certainly sounds like he had a good send off. Hugs to you.
