I know these have been mentioned before, but someone used it and mentioned on tripadvisor and it brings up some great savings:

That just uses one of the 'whitelabel' hotel room search engines and brings up the usual list of suspects.
Try www.travelrepublic.co.uk - they will usually be cheaper anyway.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -

It keeps timing out when I try it, will stick with GetRoomsCheaper.com for now as the other link to travelrepublic wasn't finding things as cheap for city hotels but looks ok for package holidays.0 -
There's a hotel that I've been stalking in Mexico - travelrepublic.co.uk is cheap, but surprisingly Asda comes out top. I didn't even realise they did hotels..0

I didnt know that either, looking at their website for travel it does say that it is provided by a travel frim called wefly.co.uk so you may want to check that site as well for your mexico trip.0 -
Asda seem to be running at a higher discount over wefly.co.uk, but I've just price-checked next week's holiday and Travelrepublic are still cheaper!
Asda and wefly are also running a re-branded whitelabel travel website - I'm just trying to remember which one it seems to be!
A note of caution: that website only discounts children upto 11yrs old. Others go to 12, 15 or 17, so you will miss out on discounts where the hotels have a higher child age than the cutoff on the website.
In our case, my 12 year old would count as an adult on these websites, costing £450 pounds more on next week's holiday, whereas she is actually FREE at the hotel we are staying at.British Ex-pat in British Columbia!0 -
You would need to be careful if you're considering using Alpha Rooms. We booked with them for hotel only in Benidorm about a month before we flew out. Got an email off them 24 hours before departure to say they now couldn't honour the booking and offered us an alternative hotel instead.
Due to lack of time we felt we'd have to accept but they didn't acknowledge our acceptance. We rang their helpline (premium rate) and were on hold for nearly an hour.
Only got our accommodation vouchers four hours before we left for the airport...very stressed out by then, and the alternative hotel was rubbish.
Still trying to communicate with them as they ignore all correspondence and emails and NEVER ring back when left a message.
A company to avoid.0 -
Suggest using comparison sites such as Kayak and trivago (but don' click through on the link unless you kill your cookies afterwards), then go through a cashback website such as quidco if the co cheapest is on there. You need to factor in your cashback rates when deciding who's cheapest - eg hotels.com are paying 12% cashback at the minute, and Splendia are paying 13% + 7% discount off their prices.Hope is not a strategy.0

Its worth trying ALL the comparison sites. I use
https://www.RoomRateCompare.com
https://www.hotelscomparison.com
https://www.Trivago.com
and
https://www.travelsupermarket.com
They each have 1 or 2 exclusive suppliers, so by limiting your choice to just 1 comparison site, then you might just miss out on a really good deal.0
