iTunes Won't Accept My Maestro

I've posted this in the Student section, but I think it applies here as well and I'm not sure how often other members check the student section. I received my Maestro card from Natwest for my Student Account a few days ago, today I tried to link my 'Servicecard' to my iTunes account which previously was linked to my Dad's Mastercard. I put all the details in correctly (I think!) and it came up claiming that it would not be accepted??

Is there any reason for this i.e. does iTunes not accept Maestro (although the Switch symbol is there), or is my card not activated (I haven't received my pin yet but I did pay a cheque in using it today).

Any help would be greatfully appreciated, thanks!

    You probably haven't activated the card yet... they wont send your pin until you do, and neither will you be able to spend on the card!!

    Did you read the instructions on the sticker that was on the card when it arrived? lol :o

    Pop into your branch and ask them to activate it, or you can do it via their online banking website.
    Then it should work fine ;)

    They activated it when I picked it up in the local branch, I received my pin today, and will try again but I have a feeling it wont work again.
