Hence why waiting a week before you're able to post a new thread asking your question is a ridiculous suggestion.

In one breath you mention an 'easy to use and accessible experience', and in the next breath completely contradict this by seeking to limit that access by imposing a restriction such as new users requiring a week's worth of posts before allowing them to start a thread!

    Madness...

That's one example, which I freely admited might not work. However, you're ignoring the fact that if people could find the information they're looking for, they wouldn't need to ask where to find it. Please stop double-posting and learn how to use the forum correctly. No wonder your post count is so high.

And with regards to the elitist drivel, just because a person talks a lot, it doesn't mean they make any sense, as you've ably demonstrated. May I politely suggest that if you have nothing of benefit to add you avoid this topic? Thanks

Your argument is poor soop2, because a lot of spam gets tacked onto existing threads.

In my opinion the MSE team have got the balance right by preventing new users from adding hyperlinks to their posts and by providing the Spam and Abuse buttons.

You of course, as Sandy so amusingly pointed out, have contradicted yourself by saying that new users (who obviously will have a low post count) should be restricted while you (with a low post count) should not.

The Grabbit Board should be for any deal that members feel are worth while. It's a resource for everybody not just for those with money coming out of their ears. Another site, Hot Uk Deals, recently posted a bargain once-in-a-lifetime 98 day world cruise for 7000 odd quid. A fantastic offer maybe but I wonder how many people took it up? On the other hand people will always buy cheap bog rolls. Especially if they're quilted.
  • I'm not going to comment on the topic, as clearly my post count doesn't qualify me, but I'll just say this thread has provided me with a little Tuesday morning entertainment! :)
