London Removal Companies

Hi,

Has anyone had any dealings with the company "Removals in London"? I found them on a Google search and they can do me a man and a van for a couple of hours for £140 which is about what I wanted to pay but I don't want to trust all of my worldly possessions to a company I've never heard of! I got a quote from Shore Porters who moved me to London but they wanted £480+VAT to move me 1 mile down the road (I paid £300 to move 500 miles!)

I could do the move myself but I've got 20 boxes from a 3rd floor room and I think it would probably just about kill me doing that many trips. I need strapping men to do it for me!

If anyone's got any other recommendations of companies in London that'd be great. I'm only going from Stockwell to Clapham North.

Rocketvan are good, they are £50 an hour and have a minimum charge of 90 ,minutes hour which should be about the right amount of time for 20 boxes for that distance assuming the new place has easy access. They work very quickly and don't hang jobs out which a lot of companies do.

They are based next to Southwark tube, they only charge you from when they get to the job.

i've used aussie man with van a couple of times and they were pretty good, although both times the "aussie" has had a suspiciously east european accent. i think they were a little cheaper than your quote but can't really remember.
