How much is 'too much' mileage?

I agree with avoiding cars with about 60,000 on the clock, I made that mistake once, never again!

I was given wrong advice then. I got my first car, a suzuki baleno which had 123,000. I paid £700 for it but it needed a new timing belt and front brake pads which I had done. My friends told me how stupid I was buying the car with such high milaege and I was so upset. But the car runs well and I have had no problems with it until I got hit from behind today. I was told no one would buy my car at such high milaege and in future I should get a car with low ml but now Im glad I have read this thread. Thank you for posting this subject and all those that have posted.
