    That must be snake oil then :cool:

    A frost proofer is just for early setting in cold winter months.

    Life depends on nothing more than using appropriate sand, mixed well, and applied properly and pointed smooth to give the weathing face.

    A lot of victorian, and pre and post war semis still have the ridges firmly on. No a tub of frost-proofer used!

    Hi, Thanks for all the reply's. Had roofer out today who say some parts need re-pointed but it's fine except that. Quoted just over £100, gonna get another firm to quote as well... Hopefully there all saying the same thing.

    And for a ton all he'll do is throw up a ladder and push a bit of mortar in which as said by an earlier poster os litle more than cosmetics. You can prolly say thanks very much for the offer then I'll leave it until something really does need doing which will probably be in 10 years time and it really won't look any different then anyway. Sorry if that comes over as cynical.
