Gypsum - where from?
Good morning.
We've sucessfully used Vitax Clay Breaker in our garden in the past and I thought that it would be worth trying out on our new allotment.
I'm trying to avoid manure because of contamination issues so I was going to use green manure but though clay breaker would be worth using as well.
The thing is, the Vitax product is very expensive as the pack size is small. Does anyone know of a supplier of bulk gypsum which would be suitable?
Cheers.

I would still go for the manure tbh, just do the checks with the place you get it and then do the one plant test before you use it.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0

Another problem with manure is that on our site it will be very difficult to get a decent amount to my plot......0 -
Hi, Cubegame, this site might be what you're after: http://www.rootwise.co.uk/gypsum-root-gyp
But I agree with Lotus-eater - you can't beat well-rotted manure for improving the ground. Have you asked the other allotment holders what they do? Often a communal trailer load can be delivered and then shared out around the allotments. If I'm over the hill, where was the top?0
