JSA new claim

I have been off jobseeker`s allwoance for around 4 months.

How long is it before I can start a brand new claim? Do you have to wait 6 months or can you start a new claim after 3 months off?

You can claim at any time if you dont have a job. If you have just left a job to claim JSA you may be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks depending on the reason why

I came off it because they were making me go on a full time course.

Could I go back on now or would I have to wait until the 26 weeks is up?

You left because they were making you go on a FT course? What does this mean?

Karen just answered you question - you can claim JS if you are unemployed, but if you chose to leave employment you gained, you may be sanctioned for up to 26 weeks.

If you purely signed off to avoid the course then sorry you could be put back on at any time, goverment have gone something about this signing on and off culture. when you make a new claim you will be assessed and placed in the system where appropriate so you could technically be required to do anything at any time. How have you managed for money since you signed off 4 months ago?
