Some of you may have come across this challenge before, run by the lovely postingalwaysposting. This time she is unable to run the challenge, so i have offered my services this time.

If you want to check out the earlier challenges, they are here.
Take one, take two, and take three.

Taken from Paps post:

So what’s the 'One debt Vs 100 days' challenge. The idea is that you decide to tackle one debt within the 100days to clear it, or as near as you can clear it. Now this may not be possible if all your debts are really high and you have a low income so take a slice of the debt to clear, i.e. £200 off a £1000 debt. Its totally your choice to which you clear and the amount. Please don’t worry if it will look 'small' its not, its important! Every small amount paid off an individuals debt is one that needs rejoicing.

So once you have decided on a debt and decided you want to be part of this challenge, post your details below and you will be added to this first post. Then each time you pay anything off your debt post back here and let me/us know :DThis could be your regular £5 min payment, a £40 overpayment due to overtime or a 50p PaD... anything no matter how small. I will then keep updating your 'debt' and also adding it to the main debt pot :D

**However please, please, please still pay your min repayments/your normal payments to all your debts. This is an 'extra' it doesn’t mean all the other debts get forgotten**

To give everyone chance to post and get ready for the challenge it will start Wednesday 1st September 2010 and day 100 will be Friday the 10th of December. don’t worry if you find this thread after the start date I can add you on as we go though, it just means you will not have the full 100days to complete it.

So who is ready to start another simple challenge with great participants who never stop motivating you...

***New for part three***

Due to the fact this challenge is growing in number each time it is run please can you make all your posts more user friendly for me. I asked the forum team if I could share the updating of the first post with other members but its not possible so when you post to say the amount payed of can you please use this format ~

Amount payed ~ Debt now

This means when I update your name on the running list I have to do no calculations except the daily totals one. That way i may be able to keep on top of it much better :D Thanks all...

Good luck all and keep on inspiring others while we are all on our debt free journey :A

Remember, only payments during the dates of the challenge count, but you can save now to make your 1st payment on the 1st of September.

I'm glad to see it is not just me. :D

Right, this time i am going to try and clear £1500 from my mortgage, and also increase the money i have in my Zopa account by £300.

I think it is going to be a hard one with Christmas being straight after, but i think we are in the right place to make a difference.

  • Sorry Michelle I forgot to say what I was paying off. Actually, my credit card is way too large to clear completely before the end of the challenge but it's my only debt so I'm paying it off that. Thank you.
