I have just moved house and gone from no garden to biggish well- established mature garden.

I used to be a very keen gardener,so I do know a weed from a flower but I dont know much about fruit and veg gardening.

At the moment I have a 10ft row of rasberries, which have almost finished fruiting, what do I do with them now,Do I have to tie something in?

There seem to be some strawberry plants,in small pots hidden away in a shady part of the garden, what should i do with these?

I have a lot of blackberries, wild,I believe and I have just picked a load, and want to keep them as they were delish! I was going to kill them off until I tasted the fruit.

What could I do to prepare for growing a lot more soft fruit next year should I get a fruit cage?

Any advice welcomed about what else to grow.

I have just been given a load of compost from well rotted leaf mould.

I would like to start greenhouse gardening too,.but thats a whole other thread.

Its so great to be able to listen to Gardeners world again,I don't know how I have survived without a garden!

You need to know what sort of raspberries they are, summer or autumn, are they self supporting or tied into something? do they have new fresh shoots which haven't fruited yet, or are all of the shoots fruiting?

Watering them until they fruit next year is always a good idea :D As is finding a spot in the ground if you want to put them in it, so you don't have to bother watering pots all the time.

After fruiting cut all canes back to the ground.

Only if you think you need one, by the sounds of it you don't.

    Whatever you like to eat.

Perfect for use over winter on any beds you have or want to make.
