Parking Eye Mess Up

http://www.luton-dunstable.co.uk/News/Dunstable-News/Supermarket-sweeps-away-car-park-fines.htm

Note the gratuitous use of the f word by the newspaper and the head of PR at Aldi.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!

Yes and even the parking eye spokesman said it was a fine, they really are scum these people.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • I agree they operate like scum using legal terms they have no right to use and making threats.

However what can supermarkets and private carparks do stop people abusing their facilities.

For instance the disbled and parent and child bays are being quite badlu abused.

Their only option is to clamp?

For a start P&C bays are just a marketing gimmick and Blue Badge spaces have no legal standing in private car-parks. The best way to regulate parking? Easy, install a barrier with "proof of purchase" tickets to prevent unauthorised parking.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

Really? Every supermarket I go to seems to be full of empty disabled spots. Tesco in Chester always has half an empty car park because there are far too many disabled spots.

Anybody who's able to be charming, assertive and solicitor-like on the phone, would you like to call the newsdesk's number and calmly explain why their readers should never be paying one of these fake tickets anyway. Pretend you got one there last month and will never pay it (they want to hear from people who have had a ticket there but they won't know if you haven't - tell them you made a paper aeroplane out of it!).

Point them to the Watchdog link so they don't think you are just a crank :D.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
