Recliner World ?

Am thinking of buying a couple of recliner chairs from Recliner World , found them at reclinerworld.com .
Seem to be a decent firm and quite good testemonials , but as we all know these can be read with a pinch of salt !
Anyone on here bought from them ?
Appreciate any comments before we commit.

I ORDERED AND PAID FOR 2 recliners from recliner world on 30th march, they have not delivered. I have telephoned several times only to get a recorded message saying the company is on holiday!!!!!! And all enquiries to be made by e-mail, yes you've guessed no reply to 8 e-mails. Telephoned again today and the message has changed, looks like they're no longer on holiday, but still not answering the phone.
On google maps it is showing this business as closed, however their website is still active.
Do not buy from them, they will only take your money and
not deliver

I ordered 1 chair on 7th May with the same outcome as grfg I have phoned several times. Telephoned again today and the answering machine no longer cuts in, the phone just rings and rings.Do not order from this company.

I also bought and paid for a recliner chair on 9th April. A month later still no chair. I have phoned and emailed on numerous occasions with no luck. I sent them a letter recorded delivery which was delivered and signed for on the 5th May but still no answer. :mad:

Contact Trading Standards through the Consumer Direct website. If you paid by credit card you can do a chargeback through the cc company and reclaim your money.

bought a "leather" chair in oct 2010 turned out the footrest was VINYL contacted them. new chair promised never arrived,emails not answered, totall ignored me registered letters cant be delivered.total waste of time dont bother throwing your money away!!!!!****:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

We started mentoring Recliner World in how to improve their Adwords with our PPC Rescue Impact programme, after the first invoice was sent to them, it became clear that something was wrong. Our accounts department was given broken promise after broken promise for payment. We lost count of the number of times the cheque was lost.

We were never able collect payment for our Adwords Mentoring and shortly after recieved a letter from the Administrators of Recliner World.

It appears the company had purchased a UK manufacturer and got into difficults. Judging by the list of customers owed money, a lot of people have been affected including me.

Update: I've just dug out the file our first mentoring session; It appears that Google had contacted them and asked to test a new feature in Google Adwords which lead them to wasting just over £5000 in January, and they were reporting on our first session that this was causing major cashflow problems. We fixed the problem but they as never paid the invoice we didn't meet them again.

Robert with whom we dealt, always seemed such a nice person as well.

I hope many of you can make a claim on your credit cards, for the rest of us I hold out very little hope.

Reclinerworld have started trading again, this time under the name of reclinerchairs2go.co.uk...beware they have gone bust twice now this could well be the 3rd time!
