Using cable connection as an aerial for DAB / Freeview? - Possible

Hi - basically as the title says. Is it possible to use an unused cable - Virgin - connection as an aerial for a DAB radio or freeview telly?
Will it work the same as a standard aerial? I am NOT interested in using the connection for anything dodgy - we have Virgin friends and family in 2 rooms with V+ in the lounge.
Just have another spare kitchen connection in which we would like to get a Freeview TV or DAB radio.
Any help or advice please let us know. Many thanks in advance for any helpful answers,
Cheers

The signal needs to be picked up/received out of the air, from a local transmitter on a distant hilltop. Does cable satisfy that requirement ?
The signals from the air will be in analogue carrier form with picture and audio content identified by the receiving equipment.
The cable information will consist of data packets for an IP address, ready for your router to send onwards to a computer.
For many other reasons it won't work.0 -

OK - was just wondering because from our old cable box we can still receive freeview channels that include a lot of radio stations.
You reckon it won't work and we don't want our old cable box connected to a new TV / stereo. Thanks0
