Steps ive taken:
- I have cleaned all filters out all the time.
- I have cleaned all arms out.
- I have made sure both arms move.
- I have made sure I always have salt in it.
- I have changed dishwasher tablets from 4 different boxes.
- I use rinse aid and set to no.2 as per hotpoints advise as I use an all in one finish tablet.
- I have checked water is filing up at the bottom.
- I have tried all possible settings.
- I have checked that both arms move.
- I have used tesco dishwasher cleaner to clean, does a good job.
- I have checked water hose is fine.
Can anyone help here, before I go out and buy a new dishwasher, looking at bosch this time.
Thanks for your time.
Kind Regards

No water in the machine.
Next time during a wash cycle open the door and look at the water level in the bottom, mine is quite full infact. While the door is open add some from the cold tap. Does that work better ?
Check /clean the water sensor level float device, probably dirty.0 -
Thanks for your reply, Well done two tests with water only cycle and found water at the bottom is about 1-2cm at best. I do have a slimline line dishwasher. I shall add a cup of water and see tonight. God I hope I can get this sorted otherwise I will have to buy another one.
Sorry how would I find this?totalsolutions wrote: »Check /clean the water sensor level float device, probably dirty.
I think this is a plastic type 1" bold thats on the bottom.Kind Regards

Sounds like water is not flowing properly from the top arm, either the supply pipe is blocked or disconnected.
Open the door while running a cycle and you should see if it is spraying from the top or not before it comes to a halt.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Hi you say that, water does get to the arm at the top as I tied sandwich bags to them and they fill up. I then done a test to see if the arm moves, by adding a red marker on one side and does move. OK when I pull door open the bottom arm is moving and top arm is stopped. So not sure here. I can see the supply pipe at the back of the unit and as its clear, seems ok and not clogged.Kind Regards

If my dishwasher played up, I would trade it in for two 20 year olds!
No seriously, do you always wash at the low temperature, as this can leave residues on the top shelf. I would do a wash cycle at the high temp setting, 65 on our hot point, and see if this helps cl;ean it out. Also at the bottom, you have filters, clean these. Also check the salt levels and rinse aid.
The sprayers also can be cloggeds, use a match stick or tooth pick to clear these.
Also, another tip. prior to putting the dirty dishes in the washers, rinse in the last water of the bowl the other washing up[ was done in. The crap on the plate has to go somewhere!0 -

OK, just do a cold rinse cycle. Put a bit of blackcurrent jiuce in the DW and yesterdays newspaper across the top shelf, flat. Run cycle until you hear it spin the sprayers for about 10 seconds (newspaper gets soggy if any longer), open up and see if evenly sprayed all over newspaper.
If streaky our shaded, problem is with sprayer.
(Personally, the 2 twenty year olds option is best00 -
Do you have a back garden or somewhere you can get things VERY wet? (Might be possible to do it in the bath + shower hose, but it will get water EVERYWHERE!) lol
My mate had a problem like this with his dishwasher a few years ago, he took the top tray out (it had the spray arm attached to it) and attached a garden hose to it (with duct tape!) and ran the hot tap through the hose and left it out the back for a good 10-20 mins spraying hot water out. (or try it with the cold tap if it has a higher pressure!) It freed up a clogged sticky spinner. Or use a pressure washer and spray water+ soap through it to clear it.
saying that it's a good play thing for the kids if it gets very hot out lol!!Laters

Right found a little bit of food participles in hinges, now fully washed out. I have found a bit of food on roof sides as it curves round. I shall put a wash on later and see if it makes any difference.Kind Regards
