No sales for over a year?

:hello:
I'm considering item #230028285834.
It ain't cheap, and looking at the seller's feedback, he hasn't sold anything at all for over a year. Would you be dubious?
I have asked him for more details on the coin, which he has provided.
Any alarm bells ringing?

If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Item looks ok. About me page is there.
No paypal tho, which is sometimes annoying..

I recently went over a year without properly selling, still bought and sold a few things in that time, but I was still as genuine a seller when I restarted as before, not sure if that helps in this case but it's worth bearing in mind people can have other commitments that take them away from eBay for a while.0

Yeah, same for me as for sprintstar - I ebay things maybe once or twice a year.0

i go through fits and starts to of selling, could be a few months inbetween anything - you could always contact him and ask if he would be willing to set up a paypal account if you were to win the item??0

I'm thinking he probably doesn't want to pay the fees on this price of item - can't say I'd want to either. :rolleyes:If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.0 -
Any chance of paying on collection - I would be wary of buying a large purchase without paypal from someone with no sales feedback for a year. Obviously there could be genuine reasons for this but I wouldn't risk a large amount.0

That was exactly my thought - nothing for a year then a biggie.
Unfortunately, it would add another £30 or so for petrol to collect, and even at £220 it's already a little on the high side for this item.
