Le Creuset 26cm shallow cast iron casserole with lid for £60 + £6 delivery. The cheapest I can find it anywhere else is £84 without delivery.

I found this last week and was sure it was going to end up being the wrong thing or my order being cancelled or something, but sure enough it arrived on Friday. It's only available in the teal, not the almond shown in the photo (they also have the same dish in cerise, but it's £82.50), but that's exactly what I was after, so I'm happy.
Hope this helps someone!

£66 for a casserole dish - will have to grab that one up quick. I bet it is so much better than my £4 of the same size that has lasted me 15 years!!!0 -
No offence, but the day i pay £66 for a casserole dish is the day I probably wont need to use moneysavingexpert.comEveryone who thanks me when ive helped will get a 5% share when I win this weeks Euromillions......:p0

Thanks for the info OP, can't think why people are put off from posting on here?:(0

I can't see why people would open a post that they have no interest in just to criticise it! £66 is a good price for a Le Creuset casserole dish which is what the title says! If it's not for you then don't bother looking!0

Thanks OP - my sister uses Le Creuset, so this would make a fab gift (wouldn't be able to afford it normally)0

I bought a 5 pan Le Crueset set many, many years ago (over 25 years) complete with wooden stand for approx. £75 (and in a sale) - people thought I was mad then.
They are still going strong and now the pan sets only seem to come in 3's, probably due to the price.
My son has been pestering me for ages now for them and despite offering to buy him new ones he wants my old "retro" ones with the wooden handles.
Sadly, he has won and I've just packed them ready to send - hope he gets 25+ years with them as well.

Le Creuset, properly cared for will outlast you. I got mine for £24, which is an insane bargain, but it will last a hundred years easy.
And it makes everything taste amazing.0 -
Hiya,
Thanks for the link fadedpages will check it out.
As we're all sharingI recently found this cutlery set for my Parents' Silver Wedding Anniversary - couldn't see how much it was before, (Sale Item at £99) but when I did a search it came up as nearly £300!

I have casseroles that I've had for over 30 years, mainly because they haven't been used much.
I recently bought a 20cm cast iron Le Creuset Casserole. It is wonderful because I can use it on the hob, in the oven and it's even freezerproof and dishwasherproof.
It also has a lifetime guarantee. My lifetime. The guarantee states it is for the whole life of whoever first uses it to cook. Mine will have a shorter guarantee than many people, as I'm old and ancient. But someone young buying these when they set up a new home will have many years use out of them.
I have to admit I only bought the casserole because it was half price in the Debenhams Clearance event. I could have bought a cheaper cast iron casserole, but I doubt it would last as long as the Le Creuset.0 -
I agree - Le Creuset might seem like a huge initial outlay but they are so versatile and last for years and years and years. Like others, I have had pans for years and passed them on to children who couldn't wait to take them off my hands. We use one particular casserole dish over and over again as it goes on the cooker and in the oven and is SO useful. I wouldn't be without them and the OP's spot is a great bargain!A [STRIKE]B[/STRIKE][STRIKE]C [/STRIKE]D E [STRIKE]F[/STRIKE]G H I J K L M N O P Q R S [STRIKE]T[/STRIKE]U V [STRIKE]W [/STRIKE]X Y Z0
