I've been looking at all our photos today and come across one in.art format which was taken at Epcot on our honeymoon. It won't open and the 'free' program I downloaded only seems to want to open if I buy it. Can anyone help me out with this please?

Looks to be a proprietary AOL image format:

Seem to be a few pointers to conversion utilities there which should work for you.0 -

Basically you open the file in Internet Explorer and save it as .bmp. Then you can convert it further with any other program.0 -

Having done some reading it seems to say that only older versions of it will work as it was disabled due to a security flaw, but thanks for the suggestion0 -

Hi, thanks unfortunately there seems little to help, all IE support is now gone.0 -
Hi
I found an old aol disc.
When loaded it's installed some software.
I've downloaded some .art samples from here:-http://samples.mplayerhq.hu/image-samples/ART/
The program will open the .art files and will save them as jpg or bmp.
So, look out for an old aol installation disc.
Or, if it's not an embarrassing photo, I can convert it for you.:DNever interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

I hate the product but it appears to do what you want Chr15
ACDSee 12 and ACDSee Pro 3 are the current versions, I can't confirm if earlier revisions will do the format.Disclaimer : Everything I write on this forum is my opinion. Hi thanks for the tip, don't really want to spend all that money for just one photo, but thanks anyway. I'll have to keep looking.0 -
