Insurance Changes

Hi,
I have been looking into both my house and pet insurance and can get them cheaper elsewhere.
My question is, do I have to wait for the due date to move insurance? or can I move at any time?
If I can move at anytime do I have to pay the rest of the cover for the rest of the year...it's direct debit at the moment.
I have never moved company until I have had the new year form though so not sure on this one.
Please help!!

There are always cancellation charges, you just have to find out from your ins. company how much they are unless they are in your terms and conditions.
You then have to work out how much you will save with the new policies.
Take one from the other and you have your answer. If there isnt much in it just keep with your old policy till renewal.
Check that neither of them are on auto renewal, you should get letters asking you if you wish to cancel and renewal but these
letters, a lot of the time get 'lost' in the post.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Thanks for all the help. I found this in the guide:
You too may cancel this Policy. Any refund of premium will be
calculated from the date we receive your notice of cancellation
and will normally be the full premium less premium at our short
period rates for the period the Policy has been in force.
So onto the company tomorrow as I can save £100 per year!!!!0 -
