Is it possible to record from a video to a pvr?

I now have a foxsat hdr - i also have an old video recorder that i would like to freecyle soon. The problem is that i have one video tape that i would like to save the recording from.

I was wondering if its possible to connect the video to the pvr via scart and record the tape content onto the hard drive and then transfer it via the usb on the pvr to a usb drive and then onto a dvd via the pc :D

Has anyone done something similar?

Guess i`m not really expecting many answers on this one but thought that i`d ask anyway :D

    Retail or home tape?

If the former then you will need a macro buster, if the latter then it's a straight 1-1 copy.

Its actually a video made up of photos that was made for DH by someone after his father passed away, like a slideshow but on video IYKWIM.

Its years old but would like to save it to dvd if possible.

I`m getting my hopes up now that it might be possible.

I've got a Freeview PVR which I guess has a similar layout to the Foxsat. If so you can copy photos (JPEG only) from a computer via a USB.

I've not found a way to copy videos -analogue or digital- to the PVR,

    e.t.a. - It's Humax so it's same brand

Ask someone with a dvd recorder to record it for you.
Freeview pvrs don't usually record from any external source, don't know about yours. I used to have a non-freeview pvr which would record from external (eg. your vhs player).
