Jumping touchpad on VA10

I have searched for previous posts about this problem but the advice given does not work on this laptop. In Control Panel there is reference to "Mouse" but within this heading there is no mention of Touchpad. How do I disable the touchpad? Maybe someone else with a VA10 will know?

I don't own a Vaio, but generally if a laptop does not have a separate Control Panel entry for the touchpad then it will normally be enabled and disabled via the BIOS setup utility.
As you probably know, you enter this by hitting a specific key (usually Del or F10, but sometimes another key) almost immediately after power-on. On my laptop the BIOS entry is called Dual Pointing Devices, but on your Sony it will be something slightly different, no doubt.0 -
Yesterday it was suggested in another post I saw after doing a search that Fn+F10 would do the trick and I believe the cursor is not jumping around as much. It has happened only once since I have been on here today.0
