Without wishing to sound like a complete numpty, what is a remoska?I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

Thank you fudgem for that web address. I am new to this and don't understand why sometimes there a 'thankyou' button, and sometimes there isn't....but I shall now go and ponder Remoskas properly, thanks again !0

That thing about the thanks button has been mentioned a few times, and it puzzles me.
Obviously, there isn't one at the bottom of your own post, and once you have used it, it disappears, but apart from that it always seems to be there to me. Oh well, one of lifes little mysteries
Have fun with the Remoska if you decide to buy0 -
The one thing I realised is the 'thanks button' isn't there until you log into MSE0

The lightbulb moment for me was when I realised that my small slow cooker uses more electricity than if I left every light I own on throughout the house! (3 bed semi - But I am a totally low energy kinda guy)
really  , I allways thought they were economical! Glad I have a small one as well as a large one now.
So do you think a slow cooker on for six hours uses more electric than an oven on for one hour?!Pawpurrs x0 -
The thing about slow cookers using more than all the lights in the house makes the slow cooker sound bad but really it just tells you that it doesn't take much power to light a house.0

Try ebay, that's where I got mine.......Today, my BEST is good enough.0

I need a bit of help from you wonderful people :A ....
I've heard good things about both the electric and slow cooker but I'm a bit confused about the differences between them and which one I'd get more use out of.
Can you help me choose which one to go for?Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

Tricky one, this because they do different things, and some of us have both !The Remoska is like a little oven in its own right. It cooks a whole range of things (bakes cakes, scones, chops, mince, roasts chicken, does cauli cheese, pasta bakes, veggie bakes, sausages, breakfast things, heats ready-meals etc etc - look on the Lakeland website for ideas about what it will do, and you can click through to a specific remoska site too - forget name. It does genuinely do all the things it says and I hardly ever use my big (expensive) oven any more so the Remoska certainly pays for itself very quickly - tho they do seem expensive) But the slow cooker does largely 'wet' dishes - casseroles, soups, very gently cooked chicken . You can leave the slow cooker on all day when you go out but you wouldn't do that with the remoska (tho people do leave it all ready and set to come on on a timer switch) Remoska is slightly too hot and fast to do - say - a very slow beef casserole, for which the slow cooker is great. I have both but use my slow cooker about once every two months and my Remoska every day, but I know there are people who use a sc daily. It depends on your circumstances, what sorts of food you eat, whether you are out all day etc etc0
