Use of Feliway

Does anyone know if a Feliway spray would help with one of my cats peeing all over the house?
He's been doing it for ages but doesn't appear stressed or anything - everything else seems quite normal. I've tried all sorts to clean it/mask it/spray it (where he's peeing not the cat himself!) but he just moves from place to place randomly. Favourite places are the bath - living room rug - any type of doormat (gone through 6 so far), the living room floor and daughter's bedroom but he also does it outside as well.
It's not every day (well not noticeably - I suppose it could be and we just wouldn't know!) and there doesn't seem to be any obvious pattern.
Been vet-checked a couple of times - nothing seems amiss.
I keep seeing the Feliway being mentioned and just wondered if I should try it?
Any advice gratefully welcomed.

If it's behavioural it could help, But it doesn't work for everyone. To get the best effects you will need to make sure all area's where your cat has been are clean and no remaining urine smells encourage them to toilet. So you will need an enzyme cleaner

In some cases its very successful for spraying and moving home, but it depends on the individual.0

Does he normally use a litter tray or go outside?0

Has he been neutered, Margaret? If not, unneutered toms do usually spray. Otherwise, has he always done this or did it start off out of the blue? Also, how old is he?
It's important to find out why he's doing it if you want to find out how to go about stopping this behaviour.0 -

Yes he's been neutered M and no he's not always done it although has had episodes of it in the past - again been checked by the vet and again with no rhyme, reason or pattern to them. He's 9. Seems quite happy otherwise.Marg

My two indoor cats have recently started doing this - I bought Feliway and also Get Off spray from Pets at Home. I have used the Get Off on the places that they have already used as a toilet as it gets rid of the urine smell and smells of Citronella which encourages them not to go there again (cats hate the smell apparently). They haven't been outside of the tray since, but it has only been a week so watch this space!!!0

I was reading this thinking cool I'll go get some of that when I suddenly realised -hang on a minute I haven't seen him pee anywhere for the last week or so ........
Cats can't read forums can they?
My daughter said she heard him scraping downstairs yesterday but could see no evidence of the pee - do you think he's winding us up? :rotfl:Marg

One (not sure which, there are 4 of the little b*ggers, lol) of my kittens keeps peeing under my son's bed. Very annoying and very stinky.
I keep using bicarb to get the smell out, but so far neither white vinegar, pepper or lemon juice have stopped him going there again. Oh, have also tried bio powder.
A friend has just recommended Feliway spray.. anyone used it and found it any good?
Thanks0 -
