Ektorp sofa covers-getting them clean and not creased

Options
Hi
Hoping for help with this, please.
I washed Ektorp sofa covers 6 months ago and they were a nightmare to iron. Even after ironing them v damp, they look creased to death and there are lines of faded colour on them that look like more creases. I have another set to do and I'm tempted to get them dry cleaned if this will stop them looking like an old dishrag afterwards.
Has anyone had theirs dry cleaned?
Has anyone washed the covers and managed to get the creases out?

We have the Ektorp 2 seater and 3 seaters.

I'm not a big fan of ironing, so the covers go back on wrinkled and ugly. Within 4 or 5 days the wrinkles drop out.

If I couldn't live with that I'd put the covers back on wrinkly and try using the steamer to encourage the wrinkles to move along in an orderly manner.

Unfortunately my creases weren't as obliging as your and are sitting there stubbornly months later. :(
  • Just in case anyone else needs the info in future - on the other sofa, I washed each cushion cover separately in the machine and did the main 3 seat cover by hand in the bath. Magic - the covers look brand new and no pale lines or creases.

you can always hang them in the bathroom and get a nice steamy shower going, the creases come out like that, the only problem is hanging up the main big cover!
