The above has just installed itself on my PC, I assume that it is an 'update' but I haven't noticed it before. What is it and should I keep it. My OS is Windows Vista.
I hope this is enough information for some assistance.
Thanks.

A 1394 controller is a standard piece of kit on a computer.
Give me a few minutes to see if that paritucalr one has any notes.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -
I have the same devices on two units running ASUS motherboards, however I have not had anything updating them recently.
I do remember moons ago someone having a constant yellow exclamation mark warning against theirs which was traced to a failing CMOS battery, something simple to replace if it is going on yours.
Hope this is of help.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -

CMOS battery - what is this? I am having trouble when I turn my PC on as it does not load immediately. I am having to turn off and then on again before it loads. Is this something to do with the battery or something completely different. Am I damaging the PC by doing this?
Thanks.0 -
!!!!!!. Aye. Like I said, pretty standard.
Scruffy: I am not saying it definately is the CMOS battery, just some feedback based on what an associate has found. What do you mean by "PC does not load immediately"? describe what you see and hear when you boot it up after its been switched off for a while.Signaller, author, father, carer.0
