The Claims Guys

Hi folks
Has anyone else gone throught The Claims Guys for claiming back PPIs? I've been dealing with them for a few months and they have stopped being useful. I sent them my print off from Equifax and now they seem to have disappeared from the radar! Has anyone got a telephone number for them or a way to get them to update me?
Thanks,

Not personally. They cold called me and I found they were liars and incompetent and didnt know about the subject they were calling me about. They were just telling me lies to get me to pay money up front to sign up for their "service". I am TPS as well so they disregarded that.

As far as I am concerned, they were just scammers trying to get money out of people. They also hold no consumer credit licence although they are on the data protection register and MoJ register. Although the last two are easy. My 10 year old could get herself registered on those.

    Hi there and welcome

I would not use a claims company, you will find on this site many have complained of using claims companies.

You could have a go yourself and if your successful (if mis sold the ppi) you would then get to keep what is owed to you.

    Its quite straight forward.

You can write your own letter to make a reclaim with the reasons you have.
Or complete the FOS questionnaire and send to whoever sold and set up your policy.

Keep copies for yourself as well in case you need to refer to it later on.

They have 8 weeks to respond, sometimes they ask for more time, which is okay, and they normally give you a timescale of when you should expect to receive a decision.

Follow the link below, and towards the bottom half of the page you will come across the FOS questionnaire.

You could contact the Ministry of justice (MOJ) in regards of the claims company and complain.

    Haha Dunstonh!!!

It got funnier. I told them that I was an IFA and that any product I bought I did myself. She then told me I could still complain. So, I would have to write a letter to myself and if I decided to uphold a complaint against myself I would have to pay myself the redress.

Its a disgrace that they don't know anything about the products and distribution or requirements. Yet they still are allowed to phone people up and tell them they are mis-sold.

Claims companies have to be one of the worst modern day "legal" scams there are.
