I live in a first floor flat where the floorboards are pretty uneven
my question is this-
who do i get to supply and fit 6mm hardboard over the floorboards to make the floor level and what sort of price would i be looking at?

*lol* how long is the piece of string I am holding in my hand right now! think about it! *smile*,
I would firstly look at why the boards appear to be uneven, it might be because pipes are underneath them so, please check each board first
then you need to work out how much timber you need for your job. then its down to how difficult it is going to be to install it and how long that will take for example is the room furnished is it a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen

could be old floorboards are cupped/warped through time, however pipework etc is always a culprit as the boards have been lifted and put back down. Its sooo easy to fit the PLYBOARD which is much better than hardboard yourself. Measure the floor area, nip into timber supplier, buy a 6mm PLYBOARD, hire a staple gun and fit yourself. Remember to staple every4 to 6 inches top to bottom and left to right. Be sure to fix any squeaky boards first as ply on top normally amplifies the squeak..
I have nothing better to do!!!!
