LLoyds TSB rejected my PPI

Hi i have re'd a letter from LLoyds Creditcard, stating the following reasons for declaining my complaints, they are: *they don't make it compulsory in order to receive a creditcard, *seller was properly trained to highlight the key elements to me *i would've re;d the policy in the post, where it explaines that i have the right to cancel,*made clear it was optional,* as i complained that i never been asked if i had any existing policy, their answer is PPI was sold b4 the FSA came to effect in Jan 2005, until then it was not a specific requirement, *premiums are calculated based on the outstanding amount on your creditcard a/c each month, as they provide statements each month, you could've contacted anytime to cancel is,*as the policy is set up on a single premium basis, therefore no refunds would be applicable. they have declained my complain due to the fact that they could find no evidence to show that i was ineligible for the cover or that it was unsuitable for me. this is the final response...
Now what shall i do? shall i write back to them? or shall i write to the FOS? what can i say??? Pls help me!

    Hi there

There is something not right about this.
Lloyds were governed even from earlier years.
My lloyds credit card was taken out in Jan 2001, at that time they were regulated/governed by GISC, the FSA taken over after them, so you are able to take this to the FOS if your not happy with the response you have received.

My blood boils with this company.

Mine was finally successful through the FOS, although with the loan ppi's they were successful directly with lloyds.

    Do not back down.

I would write back and mention that you know they were regulated and you have been mis lead by being given the wrong information.

Tell them as I also stated on your BH thread, that the FSA are punishing banks for rejecting genuine complaints and for not investigating them properly, give them as also stated on your other thread 14 days, if you hear nothing go to FOS.

Here are some email details for Lloyds...

    Customer.Care.Insurance@lloydsTsb.co.uk

    Hope this helps.;)

  • regarding my complaints with Lloyds, you are so genious..are you saying i can just send them email rather than by post? wouldn't they come back and say they never received it? as it may get stuck in the spam?

LOL, so used to dealing with these muppets now.....:o:D.

What I did, was send a letter in hard copy and email a copy, made them aware there was a letter in the post as well, lot of us have done this on here.:)

You could send the letter as an attachment, ask Customer service to send to the complaints team, and then make them aware about the letter on its way through the post as hard copy as well.

Hope this helps, you will be okay X

Also, if you use a decent mail server you can tick a box to "request a delivery receipt" and even better "request a read receipt"

What this does is that as soon as it is opened by the receiver, you get an email with a receipt telling you the date and time your email was read. This stops anyone saying "oh, we didn't get that mail or it must have went to spam" as you have proof. It's a bit like sedning something Recorded Delivery via the post office :)

Billy I am hopeless with technology, but with AOL before I used to have a receipt button and it only confirmed receipt if others were on the same network.
Now its been updated to the next version of AOL, there is nothing for me to click on for receipt, so annoying........:(, any ideas please lol?:D;)
