What do I do now?

OK, my car insurance is up for renewal. My current insurer, LV, have quoted £263.08. This is on my new group 5 car, yet is more than last year's figure for my old group 9 car. They're having a laugh.

My cheapest price comparision, etc. quote is £200.87, via GoCompare and with LV.

However, I currently have a £200 voluntary excess, and GC will only let me select £250.

I also no longer want legal cover, for which LV charge £19.90. In 34 years of motoring, I've only used it twice and only got my money back once.

I've gone to LV directly online, and got a quote of £226.16 (with £200 excess and without legal cover).

But, as I am still dealing with the same insurer, what do I do now?

If possible, I'd like to get it down to below £200. Even £199.99 would be good.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

If you go with Lv online you treat it as a new quote, I have done the exact same thing, dont forget to go through cashback sites, they do work, and its money for nothing considering you are paying anyway.
No longer posting on freebies or comps

Would the quality of the product you are purchasing be 'good' as well?
