Welcome ppi insurance

is there a cut off date as to when they will not pay out, i know i had 2/3 loans with welcome finance & 1 was going back to 2000 but i have got the copy docs from welcome & it does say ppi insurance was on one of them & then, i think i reloaned a few years later but it is all paid off how long can you back if you have proof off ppi

is 2000 too old to claim????
