Hopefully these are the pictures and instructions for the Dickensian mice.
  • I was faffing for three hours this afternoon to put the instructions in a link but I've just looked and I don't think they're readable.
So as this is only short anyway, here are the sugar mice:

I've not knitted for years but these are so cute, I'm tempted to dig out my knitting needles. Thanks for posting them.

There's several preserve recipes in this month's Tesco magazine ... Spicy Tomato & Celery Relish, Beetroot, Orange & Chilli Chutney, Caramelised Onion Chutney, Apple, Pear & Plum jam and Piccalilli. If anyone would like them, let me know & I'll scan them at the weekend & post them here or email them xxx

My 'The Hairy Bikers' 12 Days of Christmas' book arrived from Amazon arrived today & I love it!

Has some great recipes in it including edible gifts, chutneys, homemade marzipan and suggestions for meals for Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year etc.
There is also a countdown for cooking the turkey etc on Christmas Day.

Can't wait to try some of the recipes out. I hope that the reason they have brought out this book is because there is going to be a tv series in the run up to Christmas.

Georgiabay thanks so much for taking so much trouble with those patterns and I'm sure that they are the same ones although mine were a bit bigger...maybe I used bigger needles? About 8 inches tall. Thanks again, I'm certainly going to have a go!:j:T

For all those that are prepping early, I went into my local Poundl4nd yesterday & they have loads of lovely decorations, I got the following for £14:

2 x sparkly snowflake type candles
2 x mini penguin trays for serving stuff on Boxing day
2 x mini snow globs, 1 penguin, 1 father Christmas
    1 x felt Xmas tree
    1 x felt penguin
    1 x felt Father Xmas
    1 x felt reindeer
2 x large plain candles - vanilla scented
1 x gas lighter with refill
1 x large gold star made from twigs with holly berries etc

I was so surprised, as I'd seen the felt decorations in a garden centre & they were almost a fiver each, was very impressed. :p
