  • Hi all, I have enjoyed reading this thread and love some of the ideas.
I have one of my own to add - because I like a silly moment or two....
    Christmas poop!
Have a look on this website for more ideas:
    http://familycrafts.about.com/od/makinggaggifts/a/xmaspoop.htm

You can easily make Elf Poop, snowman poop etc, and there is a little tag to go with each one.

    Enjoy!!!:xmastree:

I bought all the wrapping paper/cards for 25p/3-pack (paper) and 25p/20-pack cards from Ikea after Christmas last year.

Gifts are all bought, my spreadsheet is updated, and the money from my budget I didn't spend will be spent on food and Christmas decorations. It's the baby's second Christmas but she was only four months old last time and didn't really get it, so this year I will be decorating with abandon as gay as Liberace. I'm going to get some solar powered fairy lights because I'm a bit nervous of electricity on a tree.

We've decided not to travel to family in the UK this year, we're going to have Christmas at home and we may or may not invite friends over to share it with us. I'm thinking it would be nice to have a houseful if we can manage food-wise.

Tradition at my parents' house, started by me, is eggs benedict for breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice. It'll either be that or egg and bacon muffin melts. Lunch will be roast chicken and all the good stuff, although I will be insisting on adding some Yorkshire puddings. Then if we invite people over for the evening I'll organise some picky bits and a buffet type of deal, and if it's just us I'll make chicken in a bun.

:xmastree::xmastree::xmastree:I know that sometimes we get told that we are mad preparing for xmas this early and that most people complain that xmas comes too early these days, but i have a great xmas each year as i am so prepared with everything and i'm not running ragged on the few days leading up to xmas....if fact one of my xmas eve joys is going 'woopsie' shopping at Tesco which brings us extra goodies within my normal monthly food budget.

The pots are great, what have you used to put the stuff in, are they plastic cups sprayed gold?

We did calenders last year for granparents. B & M had A4 blank ones for 99p, they had a 6x4 space for each month so you could glue photo in.

I spray painted black plant pots gold and wrapped them in cellophane with stars on (bought from eBay). I also had little "made with love" charms that I attached to the gift wrap string I tied the cellophane with...

My gold plated 2ps that I placed inside also went down well (they also came from eBay and were £1 each).

I was in Tesco one Christmas Eve and they had massive free range turkeys for £3 from £15-18. We already had ours defrosting but took advantage of all their other reductions :money:
