Hi Shiels, korky and anyone else lurking :hello:

I am here, but have no energy to comp today, and I am quite behind with them too.
It is my DDs day with her grandparents today and I have a list as long as my arm of jobs to get done around the house. I have spent the day doing some bits of Christmas shopping, wrapped some presents, making some phonecalls etc, but still have loads of stuff left to do and not enough time.

This morning I popped into a charity shop to have a browse of their books and bought one that caught my fancy. When I got it home was looking at the authors picture on the back cover and realised that I used to know the author :eek:, He was a friend of a friend when I was a teenager and we all used to go out drinking together. It made me chuckle as I just picked up this book by chance, and I had no idea he had written any books at all, I haven't heard anything about him for at least 10 years as he moved away. I guess it was just fate that made me pick the book up.
This is a strange world sometimes, isn't it?

back after quite a while off here
it was not due to lack of wins but fact that i could not work out what i had entered competition wise, now with an entered button which is a godsend think i will be back a while

welcome back piraterob we used to use the thanks button to keep track as it helped a lot,
but is much much better now we've got the enter button,
so we've best of everything now :j:j

I'm fine thanks Korky. I'm looking forward to Xmas as I finish work on the 23rd Dec and don't go back until 4th Jan. That'll mean some serious comping catch up time :eek::D

Just ordered a free collage mug from Snapfish for the p&p £1.99. It is normally £7.99. It is posted on the freebies. Really chuffed - have ordered it for my dad with pics of all the kids and us. Hope it comes in time for Xmas as I'm sure he will love it.
