Hope you get it sorted quickly hun xx
Thanks hun, no-one to lend money offI won a lot of money on Monday but the cheque probably wont be here for another 8 weeks & then it has to clear x
princess_pixiedust wrote: »jo the chicken should be ok, the only prob would be if you tried to re-freeze it, should do you for a couple of meals at least, any neighbours can help, family? and please get home insurance hun, it is a life saver when something like this happens, always something we tend to put off doing isnt it?
what have you got food wise in house thats not affected?
Well we can't afford a fridge freezer til the cheque comes & clears (see above). We have a few tins of stuff, not much tbh, majority of what we get is fridge or freezer food. No-one to help
100% getting home insurance now, just spoke to OH about it, we've got far too much stuff to risk not having itWhen you do get home ins just be careful how much excess you have to pay. When our FF broke last yr we had about £60 of stuff in but our excess was £100 and we werent covered for electrical breakdown so we couldnt get anything back. Needless to say I changed ins companies after that!
Thanks hunni :A Will check when we have a nosey tomorrow, was saying to OH that excess can be quite high.
Who are you with?? xxx JoJo xx

I'm with more than now sweetie but I think tesco do a better deal. Best off looking on the home ins thread for the best deal, it also depends on where you live (crime rates in the area) and what security you have (house alarm, double glazing etc) I was with churchill before. Hope you manage to sort it out.Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0

yeah wingo saw that about the drug, thats the tablets so doesnt affect ds at all, not good it is when people rely on that to treat their diabetes
xx
jo try freecycle and ask for a chest freezer if any have available, people on freecycle here ask for laptops, dishwashers etc then get a super duper fridge freezer when money clearsthere are sites where you type in what you have in house and it lists all the things you can cook from that, might be an idea?

All our food has defrosted & I'm gutted, there's £100+ worth of food in there & we have fussy kids & no flippin money to buy any more food cos done the big shop.
Devastated
Sorry about your fridge freezer sweetie - can't believe someone elses has packed in too. I was really lucky and caught mine before anything much was defrosting and a neighbour found me a large drawer in hers to put most of it.:A. Had to cook and eat everything else and only lost a few pounds worth of stuff. My insurance wouldn't have helped anyway as the excess is at least £100 on it. Hope you get sorted out.Love this korky!
