    Evening all

Glad you're back on korky, :kisses3: hope you've managed to sort out your connection. My pc is running slow today too, hate it when that happens.

Did anyone else get thunder & lightening earlier? Glad it's stopped, already had son up the last 3 nights as he has trouble sleeping. Just been up to check on him & he's sleeping on the landing! :o

DD got a win today, some moonsand which has gone away for xmas :)

Off to do some work (enter some comps) ;)

:( Our fridge freezer has packed in :( All our food has defrosted & I'm gutted, there's £100+ worth of food in there & we have fussy kids & no flippin money to buy any more food cos done the big shop.

    Devastated :(

  • Can you put a claim in with either your insurance or if it's under guarantee then under that? I know we've claimed on both before, really easily as well tbh. Can you not salvage any of it (meat for instance?) to make some meals?? Really hope you get it sorted asap hun, it's awful when that happens.

Thanks hun. We don't have home insurance :o And the FF itself is past it's guarantee. I'm a bit worried about cooking the chicken cos don't know how long it's not been working, most of it is exactly that :(

    Thank you tho x

  • If it's throughly defrosted it should be ok to cook, if you have chicken cook it til it's piping hot then make a meal from that & cut some for sandwiches/stir fry etc. Can someone lend you some money/food til you can get some money together? Hope you get it sorted quickly hun xx

  • jo the chicken should be ok, the only prob would be if you tried to re-freeze it, should do you for a couple of meals at least, any neighbours can help, family? and please get home insurance hun, it is a life saver when something like this happens, always something we tend to put off doing isnt it?

what have you got food wise in house thats not affected?

When you do get home ins just be careful how much excess you have to pay. When our FF broke last yr we had about £60 of stuff in but our excess was £100 and we werent covered for electrical breakdown so we couldnt get anything back. Needless to say I changed ins companies after that!
