More good news on the home moving front,

phoned BT last week and they said there wasn't a telephone connection in the new flat

when I visited the flat yesterday I noticed a BT connection box

so I phoned again today and told the operator and she said they they have now found a line into the flat and it can be connected this Friday

we have gone for BT Basic at £13.50 a quarter and a £4.50 call allowance as we don't use the phone much

they also said that as my old line and new line will be active at the same time and because the old line is in my name and the new line is in my wife's name they should be able to transfer the broadband over without a break in service

I'll believe the above when it happens but hopefully I won't be off-line for too long

Just noticed MSE Andreas post on the Skimlinks thread that they are going to be removing Skimlinks from the Competitions forum

that's great news and what with the parties and sweeties and the soon to be "i've entered" button I feel like christmas has arrived early

wish Korky hadn't posted the dancing chicken though as I can't get the "Funky Chicken" song out of my head :eek: for younger members of MSE the lyrics go something like this

I am really proud of myself today, to some of you it might not be a big thing but I promised with us moving & having a HUGE kitchen now I was going to bake my daughter a birthday cake today & I did!!! I have some pics on facebook if you want to have a look, it's not perfect but I DID IT!!! I have never baked before in my life, will add a pic on here later once it's decorated. My youngest is 4 today & she was thrilled with all her presents especially the Princess & The Frog things that were wins & a few bits we got yesterday from Meadowhall so going to enjoy the movie later with some cake.

ive just started comping so fingers crossed for me. trying to make my way to sisters wedding in oz next year and hopefully a few wins might help me on my way

I am pretty new to doing this more seriously too! Have won a few comps in the past without entering too many - so hoping by upping the numbers my luck stay in proportion!
