I only ever enter comps from here, to be honest I can't understand how you would have time to go elsewhere, there are literally hundreds of pages of them on here and I think every possible comp must end up here eventually, you'd be hard pushed to find new ones anywhere else. I don't even get the time to do all of the Monthly, Weekly and Daily comps and I don't have young children to look after.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

prehaps I am doing it wrong hehe.. I do an advanced forum search looking for eg. E:20/09 in the comps forum, always without fail all results are 12 pages....
Am I possibly doing something wrong in my searching?

You might find it easier to click on the [STRIKE]'End Date View' button[/STRIKE] (read the Edit below!) at the top of the forum and skip to where the competitions ending for a certain date are, they go in order such as E: 01/01, E: 01/02, E: 01/03, so if you skip through tens of pages at a time it should be quite quick to find the ones you want.
I would normally open all of the pages at the same time (using the Firefox Snaplinks add on to open multiple links) until the end of the date, so say there were 10 pages of comps E: 01/01 starting at 1 I would open 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 together, because when threads are posted/merged/Game Overed it changes which pages the other ones are on in end date view.
The search can sometimes be erratic (you'd most likely end up with comps from years previous mixed in also) and (as far as I know) there's only ever 12 pages of results, so for comps ending month end, you'd miss hundreds this way.

Edit: Scrap that about the 'End Date View' button, I just clicked it and it put them the other way around E: 31/12 etc etc, I don't use the button, but I thought it did the same as the way I do it, I click on the word 'Thread' on the bit just above where the threads are listed (and below where the buttons are) where it says 'Thread / Thread Starter' this puts a down arrow next to the word and sorts them the other way around if you click it once, I find it much easier this way! I'm surprised the 'End Date View' button put them the other way around! *looks confused*0 -
to get the end date view button to list them in assending order you need to scroll to the bottom and adjust the box that says descending to ascending then they will be ordered like barnabysue says. you can also set it to show all comps from the beginning which will then show all active comps (usually over 200 pages) which ensures you dont get any missed by it showing less pages. also means you can carry on entering end the next day to get ahead of yourself if you run out of one days comps.
i rarely have time to do anything other than dailies and ending next day comps on mse, so i never go elsewhere. if i do happen to find comps elsewhere then i search mse for them so i can thank the postand click entered to prevent myself entering it again, which oftentimes i cba with doing so just dont enter until i see it on mse anyway lol admitedly if i didnt mess on fb and check emails so frequently id have more comp entering time!0 -
If you have done all the ones that you want to ending the next day, you could do some of those ending on the last day of the month, as there are usually lots more of those. Also, you could do the dailies, the weeklies, the monthlies and the postal and text thread. Also, if you like Twitter, you can find some on there that are at short notice and do not make this board, because the promoter will tweet something that needs retweeting within an hour to win a prize.0

I originally joined the money saving forums a while back to ask about mortgages and then found the competition forum over the weekend as a result of the Citroen Car Competition. I came across another facebook competition to win a car from one of the Vauxhall dealers and tried to start a new topic about that because it didn't appear to have a topic. I got a message that as a new member I didn't have permission to post a message containing a link. How many posts do I have to make before I can make a post that includes a link>0
