  • Bonjoey, when you rang what did you ask for? I'm just worried about ringing up and saying 'I want a rate reduction otherwise I''m going elsewhere' as I haven't got anywhere else to transfer the money to!

EDIT: I decided to bite the bullet. I rang up and said I was not happy paying 24.9% on outstanding balance when I can transfer to my other card at 14.9%. They have reduced my rate to 13.9%!!!!!!!! :j :j :j

    Ours haven't

My card is only five months old, so that might have something to do with it.

Mother has MBNA, Egg, Goldfish - no increases

No increases in credt limit over the past 12 months but increases in the interest rate of two cards.

I've never missed a payment over 6 years on many accounts. Banks are really tightening up.

Cant wait to hear what Morgan Stanley have to say next month when I call to cancel and tell them why. I dont even care if I am not offered a deal to stay.

GE Money have just informed me that they are increasing the charge on cash transactions from 15.717% to 22.949%.

Makes no difference to me as I only use it for the cashback and always pay off every card I use each month unless its on 0%

Got 2 of those to clear this month but paying them off with money in Building Society that I have put away each month as I have spent on the cards.
