Time to Switch?
Hi all, I'm currently on the Scottish Power Fixed 2011 Tariff which will end in February next year. Starting to think about what to do next and could switch now as I do not have any cancellation penalties on the existing tariff.
Part of me likes the certainty of a fixed rate, and SP have done me no harm so far, so their new Premium Fixed 2014 is quite attractive although I've no real need for the boiler cover that's included. Switching to that tariff would cost me an extra £25 extra / month (on a pretty high usage).
Have also looked at other rates and E.On SaveOnline V2 claims it could save me £450 / year, which seems quite staggering. I would however be at the mercy of future price rises.
Does anyone have any experience of this tariff?
Also, I am £400+ in credit with Scottish Power at the moment. Would that be transferred to Eon if I made the switch, or refunded to me?
Thanks
