Hi there

could someone give me a rough idea of what sort of cost i should be looking for the following job:

To cut/fit laminate worktops (butt and scribed join at corner) 2.2 m and 2 m lengths

Cut out and replace sink/tap and plumbing to it, plumb in a dishwasher and washing machine either side of sink.
Cut out and fit ceramic hob in the worktop, built in oven beneath.

The only unit i haven't already taken out is the sink, new units are preassembled

The electrics are all in the correct places.

Cheers for any feedback

£ 400 - £ 500. What does the quote you have in your hand say?

    Hi Key

I had a plumber look at it, he said he charges £180 a day and he said he'd 'pencil in' 4 days for it(!), in case he came accross a problem (which made me sweat). He mentioned he could get someone to do the worktops and electrics.

The price you state sounds much more sensible. Am i best approaching a general building/joinery company for this job?

    Get a local kitchen fitter.
