    Hi Jonny

If you sent a letter of reclaim, they have 8 weeks in full to respond, this is the timescale they are allowed, to deal with complaints.

And did you post by recorded or normal post?

    Check the procedures out here:

Hope you hear of a good result soon, fingers crossed and please keep us posted, cheers.:)

Yes I put in a claim for Mint I have had it since the late 90's when it was originally RBS Advanta. They rejected my claim although helpfully sent me a copy of my application which was a tick box which was Strongly recommended (said so on the form!). Despite having a wealth of arguments against them e.g. you processed the PPI within 2 days of the date I signed it but I didnt get the details until well after then, in fact it was in place before I got the card - they have rejected it. I have since sent on to the FOS who have just written saying they are asking RBS for their view. I get the impression that RBS play very hard with claims, so hope the new FSA rulings work against them.

    Hope you are sucessful

Just to add they sent me a letter acknowledging receipt of complaint within 2 weeks and followed up with a letter rejecting after about a further 4. I sent a further response asking them to reconsider based on the information available and they sent another letter within 2 weeks rejecting finally.
