i usually have 25-30 windows open at a time. anyone know which browser takes up the least amount of power/memory and if it is more power/memory effienct to have a couple of tabbed browsers or multiple browsers open at the same time?

Me too.
Many tabs, not windows.
I use Firefox, I can't comment on other browsers.
Some people have complained in the past about a 'memory leak' but I never noticed it.
The only disadvantage I have found with many tabs is that it takes a long time for them all to load at start up.:coffee:
I think that it's more efficient running one browser with many tabs than many browsers with one tab.
This is just a gut feeling though, I've no evidence.:)
These days I'm running Firefox with the cache in RAM.
It's very snappy, especially with Firefox 4 Beta 3.:cool:Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -
You can use google chrome for that. The browser comes in a quite basic functions but you can add extra features by installing extensions.0

There is a very interesting feature which should make it inoit the forthcoming Firefox 4 called Tab Candy, it might be exactly what you are looking for. Have a look here

I find multiple tabs easier to use than multiple windows. Seems more timesaving to me.0

I'm still a fan of Opera and Tab Candy seems to be a bit of Opera's 'Speed Dial' and 'Sessions' functionality. There is a very interesting feature which should make it inoit the forthcoming Firefox 4 called Tab Candy, it might be exactly what you are looking for. Have a look here

I use broswers 'bbokmarks' like an index of pages, and the sessions functionality as my primary browsing function, i.e. all my news sites in one session, (investments, savings, MSE type pages, etc, etc).
It'll be interesting to see how Tab Candy comes out, I may even go back to FF.Personal Responsibility - Sad but True

Yes, when I saw that video I was reminded of Speed Dial....and Tab Candy seems to be a bit of Opera's 'Speed Dial'
Since I commented this morning I've been told about Firefox addon BarTab.
This seems to be OK. When Firefox starts up all the tabs are there from last time but the pages don't get loaded till you click on them as and when you need them.:)Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0 -

depends what your commit charge is with all those windows open, 30 windows is a bit excessive, do you close IE before shutting down?!!

I currently have 38 tabs open in Seamonkey - the most I can fit in on my screen width.
No performance hit that I can tell, but it does take a little while to load them all when I first fire it up ;-)0 -
