Elly hope you ok doll, kids off the school now? hi to the rest of you dribblers, Paula you will get answers and welcome noynoy no much doing in skintcity this weekend - cleaning cleaning and ironing then probably have to start on the cleaning again! have got my crafty head on this weekend so bought some knitting needles and fancy wool to knit a scarf - thats probably my limit and bought some sewing machine needles and got a pattern for bunnies and ragdolls so hopefully will get some crafting done in between the cleaning. have been looking at those dehydrator thingys - technical term and toying with the idea of one but dont think i can justify £50 - wish you could hire these things to see if you would use them!! well thats it in my exciting life for today away to do a couple of rows before i decide i might need a wee drinky! catch up later!

Very early morning all... just got back from Casualty but I will explain that a bit more in a bit!!!!

Elly – sorry to hear about your mum, but you are right things can only get better x But, we are all here for you. (Although I have been a bit MIA this week), but what the mighty Joprah said you don’t have to be strong all the time. X

Noynoy – welcome to the thread!

Jo – Lolololol at you page number shenanigans!

Hugs to all you lovely lot Paula, Mambury, Skint, Nixi. I have decided that for my next birthday I will be 5. As for the casualty portion of my post, there I was lying in bed procrastinating over a design and researching some images while watching Hot Fuzz.

Was quite relaxed and thought give it an hour and I am going to sleep. Best mate left house to see her boyfriend – and then I heard the most blood curdling screeching of my name ever. Ran down the stairs like a maniac, barefooted – thought mate was being attacked – not sure what I was going to achieve with bare feet on my lonesome - discovered that

MY. FRIEND. HAS. UMBRELLA. STUCK. IN. HER. EYE EEEEEEEEK:eek::eek::eek:

Try not to freak out outwardly, but I was freaking it out inside one of the metal bits had hooked itself on the inside of her top eyelid. She is having to hold the umbrella still – and as the umbrella is already up and we can’t close it she is having to stand on the front doorstep in the rain with umbrella stuck in her eye.

Woah!!! Called the ambulance and went to casualty... luckily for my mate the eye was sore with a small scratch in the lid. Had to have an injection and saline eye was. But thank god she is okay as it looked so bad especially the ambulance guys had to cut the umbrella up in order to get her to the hospital.

I think after tonight I have a phobia of umbrellas... WOW!

Other than that – got the ready made range and a client meeting later on today. I am going to get some shut eye although I honestly think that I am dreaming... what a freaky Saturday night!

OMG Dilli that sounds awful, thank god your friend was ok. How scary. I have never been a fan of umbrellas, can always have an excuse for not using one!! I'd rather get wet! Good luck with the client meeting and yay for the ready made range!!

Dilli - I have to say, I would have been saying "Hold still while I get a photo!" lol! Did the meeting go Ok? :)
Skint, bunnies sound great, are you going to do them in court? And what's a dehydrator?
Hi everyone else, hugs to anyone as needs 'em :) hope you're all well xx

Just been having a word with my mum's friend about what I was like as a kid and it's all sounding like I thought. She's happy to write me a testimonial if I need one. I'm hoping to get referred to the mental health team on Wed but will let you know. Feeling a lot calmer now I'm not doubting myself so much. I said to myself when I joined this thread I would make this 'my' year and I have gained so much, I really feel like this year has been like a huge turning point for me. Thank you all :)
...and I will remember, hello noynoy!! - keep forgetting not to be ignorant lol. Have you got twins? Or am I getting confused...anyway yay for knitting, i can't knit much more than a scarf either but I love doing it lol xx
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick @ss.... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

hi paula - court thing was i was a witness through the week and i absolutely hate having to sit in the waiting room all day staring at blank walls! dehydrator thigy is for drying out veg, fruit, flowers. the veg you then use in soups casseroles etc and the fruit you make banana apple or whatever chips without all the additives and grunge added you can also make sweets that are like "winders", you can also make potato chips and grind the dehydarated veg to make seasoing for them so no e numbers, colourigs at all, there are a couple of threads on them, glad you are a lot more positive and you find answers and we're all behind you 100%. didnt get much crafting doen but did get 6 1/2 hrs ironing was that hacked off counted the t shirts -93 of them - yes thats right 93 blo0dy tshirts and i still havent started this weeks ironing -think we will be doing a clothing budget next year - £2.99 for a set of knickers out of primark!!!!

Dilli - think i would have keeled over, hope your friend is okay, no doubt a bit tender today but doesnt bare thinking about what could have happened. glass of wine and knitting waiting - catch up with you all tomorrow (yippee no work for two weeks)
