  • hi girls, yeah Elly have 14 to do as well as 3 birthday cakes - first one goes on tuesday for a Building Society Christmas party so hopefully that will lead to a few orders, its about 3 doors up from a new cake shop that opened in the summer which is quite expensive - their cheapest novelty cake starts at £75, had a look at their website - not that impressed. (oooooooooh !!!!!!)did start looking at ebay for buying but house and shed is bursting at the seams and everything decent is quite a distance plus o/h is grumping already at the amount of stuff i have, right down to about 10 pairs of sheets i bought last Feb for £1.99 a pair - shifted some in the summer at a bootsale but never got round to doing another bootsale not worth putting on ebay though postage makes them too expensive, will probably wait until spring and target the bootsales then, as with there being lots of caravan sites around things like that tend to sell quite well. am also trying to think what to do for craft fairs next year as want to expand and not just rely on cakes at the fairs. have been sitting tonight making a floral tree - you know the oasis balls on sticks and then put in a pot, may have a look at offering things like that - a wedding package type thing as am not too bad at dabbling in floristry, sewing maching is out to make kiddies baking aprons too and anything else i can think off and am still mulling over the day courses, but mind is just too busy now with organising everything, ended up with orders for over 10 scarfs ended up giving most of the orders to my sister as just dont have the time, id i'd known i would have started knitting in the summer! whats your plans for the new buys, revamped and made shabby chic or just punted on the way they are?
Jo didnt manage to join in the FB party tonight got carried away with the floral tree!!! hope the kids and o/h enjoyed their dvd!

Can I join & actually try & do it this year. I joined last year but didn't keep up although I stopped smoking which saved loads of money & got myself an occasional caretaking job - so in a way I did.
This time I must keep up & try ebaying my clutter to start off - have never ebayed before & need this group as incentive, kicks up the behind.

    Hi everyone :)
it's madness at mine, OH leaving Thursday for the South Pole (ish - I think!), getting ready for Christmas - not much though as haven't even got tree up yet - making stuff with the kids - thanks Jo for the great blog you gave me the link for, am loving it and other stuff it links to - today you can't see the carpet for bits of material and crayon and building blocks. Keep looking to see what everyone is up to but not posting as I get halfway through a post and think of something I wanted to look up and get distracted and then don't like what i wrote when I come back to the post and delete it, meaning to post another time lol! So I'm doing this one veryveryfast while I think of it.
Have been awake since five after having a really painful stomach all yesterday so am feeling a bit manic. Thanks for setting up the other thread elly! And everyone :) love the thought of Jo being a guiding light, very true! We love you Joprah! Will post on the other thread when have calmed down a bit/got some rest and thought up my plan for next year. Big massive hugs xx xx
