Looking to buy laptop for under £500

Title says it all really, I am a student going into year 11 and my parents said I can have a laptop for around £400-500. I don't really know much about specs for performance or whatever so don't bamboozle me with talk of all that haha:')...

the main things I from it are...

a 15.6 inch screen

fast internet browsing, for watching youtube, facebook etc (internet connection speed isn't a problem:P)

fast Microsoft office and other basic programs, photo management etc.

it to look good (pretty modern house so i stylish design would be nice ;))

possibly a blu-ray player? or is this too much too ask? :P

i could probably wait until the post Christmas sales if that would be benefital...

thankyou in advance:)

The longer you wait, the more you'll get for your money. But if you wait until then, there is no point in us recommending something now. :)
  • okay, sorry was getting a bit exited :D, haha what kind of brands would you recommend for that sort of money? :)

The DELL is overpriced and unremarkable. That will be in their Outlet at £350 in no time.

At to brands, maybe you can go and get some hands on experience to see what you like.
