Title says it all really, I am a student going into year 11 and my parents said I can have a laptop for around £400-500. I don't really know much about specs for performance or whatever so don't bamboozle me with talk of all that haha:')...
the main things I from it are...
a 15.6 inch screen
fast internet browsing, for watching youtube, facebook etc (internet connection speed isn't a problem:P)
fast Microsoft office and other basic programs, photo management etc.
it to look good (pretty modern house so i stylish design would be nice
)
possibly a blu-ray player? or is this too much too ask? :P
i could probably wait until the post Christmas sales if that would be benefital...
thankyou in advance:)

The longer you wait, the more you'll get for your money. But if you wait until then, there is no point in us recommending something now.

https://www.dell.co.uk/tv - The Dell Inspiron 15R on that page would suit you fine, however it doesn't have a BlueRay player.

Inspiron N5010 (UK, FCG01) - i3-350M (2.26Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache)
Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit
15.6" High Definition (1366x768) WLED
Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator HD
3072MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [1x1024 + 1x2048]
250GB (5,400rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive
DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD)0 -
The DELL is overpriced and unremarkable. That will be in their Outlet at £350 in no time.
At to brands, maybe you can go and get some hands on experience to see what you like.0
