    Freshers' Fair.

It's when all the big companies come and try and win you over by offering competitions, flyers, and free stuff.

Last year the majority of my writing-related stationery - that is to say, pens, pencils, sharpener, and rubbers - was from companies giving their stuff away during Freshers' Fair. I used one pen so much [from SPT] it became my lucky pen I used in all my exams.

I also had a FirstBus pad of paper I used for note taking and doodling.

Admittedly pads of papers, jotters, and so forth I had to buy [from Tesco's and the student union] but pens etc came from companies. Most only wanted an email address in return, and I have a 'spam only' email address [on gmail]specifically for that kinda thing.

Yep freshers fairs are the best source of pens.
I go to both Manchester & MMU for extra supplies.

Probably still go even when i've graduated.
